Vintage Limited Streets Rods of Bakersfield was started 33 years ago by a group of car enthusiasts who owned Pre-49 street rods. We currently have 17 families residing in the great cities of Bakersfield, Taft, and Mojave, all in California.
We are a small car club in the Big Valley dedicated to driving our street rods ANYWHERE where friends need making and food needs eating. We appreciate the smiles that our cars bring to those who reminisce and tell stories about when they were young and how either they or their father used to have the same 1930's or 40's cars that we have now. We get to hear and share many stories every time we take the cars to the street. Some of our "day cruises" have included a trip to Kernville to visit their wonderful small town and museum, we ran with some of the members of the Corvettes of Bakersfield (8 Street Rods and 9 Corvettes) on the "Blossom Trail Run" which took us up to the Sanger car show and ended at the Bravo Farms Restaurant (that's a 'got to go' restaurant and gift shop). That was a lot of fun. Also, club members, friends and family members (17 total) attended the Super Cruise at the Kern County Fairgrounds to support the Society for Crippled Children. Last, but not least, we also added Pine Mountain Club's Lilac Festival to our day cruise list. There are many other car shows that our members will be attending as car show season kicks into high gear.
Below are a few pictures from some of the events we have attended:
